This movie is unlike most other slasher & horror movies of its genre. It sets up a truly different take on fate, death & clairvoyance. To top it the movie serves it up with a true sense of foreboding & darkness. The opening sequence of the students boarding the plane can be related to by anyone who has flown with all the necessary details shown. This sets the tone for a truly eerie & scary ride into Final Destination. Some of the scenes stun you with their surprise element & makes you jump out of your seat.
I never expected this movie to be the way it turned out( esp. the ending). This movie is not your typical horror movie nor will it match teh tastes of someone who prefers the standard action fare. But if you like that eerie, Twilight zone kind of concept which makes you think that things do not always add up, this surely is your cuppa tea.
P.S. Just check out Tony Todd as the Undertaker - Truly scary.
