We all know the versatile comedian the kapil sharma. He is popular for his humor and comedy. Kapil sharma is the producer cum actor in firangi film. Film directed by rajiev dhingra. With co-actress monica gill and ishita dutta. Story by rajiev dhingra. Who actually put 1920s love story and that hard time when british rulers ruled in india. Film was primirally shot in punjab and rajasthan.
The film story is that kapil sharma is a jobless man but during one of his friend’s marriage he met a beautiful girl ishita dutta and fall in love with her. Due to his unemployment, the family members of ishita dutta dont want to marry their daughter. In this film there are two villages. Kapil can remove anyone’s back headache. One day british police officer have that back headache, kapil helps him to recover and that officer offers kapil to join their police force by getting impressed. Kapil usually joined the force and felt happy about their marriage that now no one can refuse kapil as a jobless.
But britishers have eyes on ishita dutta’s village to take over from them by thuging, and they have also planned and executed it.
Still kapil feels that britishers are not that bad as they give work to kapil. But his love and all the villagers and his friend all are blaming him for supporting these conflicts. As usual being a hero, kapil faces many issues and tries a lot and get back legal documents from britishers to save the village and impress his love ishita dutta. That is the main story.
As I said earlier, we all know kapil as a comedian. But in this film, kapil seems very serious and shy dedicated to that generation 1920s. Some of the lines and situations are good as a comedy but dont get that much of entertainment which we are expecting. Ishita dutta performs quite well as per her role. Kapil’s friend innamulhaq and anjan srivastav all are good actor. But as per script they dont have much enough character or role in this film. That is one of the issue. Still they performs quite well. Experience and acting not well distributed. Film getting monotonous after one hour. Film length is also big, around 3 hours of film in this story now a days is ridiculous. Songs are typical punjabi song type. Music is also good but after one time you dont want to listen again these songs.
That two villages and all villagers are looking very very artificial. They dont even know that britishers dont take any excuses, dont give any offers. They just ruined everything and take over all things. But in this film, they actually did wrong. May be I cant explain, but if you watch the movie it will be better, if you want so.
We want humor from kapil sharma in this film, but unfortunately that doesnt come out. He is not like any typical bollywood star. Kapil should work only on fully comdey movies like his earlier movie.
