Yesturday I watched a movie i.e Firangi in theatre.Talking about the movie, it’s an story of an guy named Manga, who lives in some village of Punjab.Also the story is based on 1920’s period when the british ruled over India.So one day Manga went to his friend’s wedding who lives in another village in Punjab.Over there he falls in love with a girl named Sargi who lives in his friend’s village.Other than that as the movie is based on a period of pre independence so there an Raja ( King) of that area named Indraveer Singh.Also there’s an british officer named Mark Daniels in the movie.So one day Manga was taken to Mark Daniels as he has the problem of back pain.So Manga use to hit that officer with his leg on his back side as at that time there’s the believe amongst people that a child who’s born Ulta has the magic in his legs to cure a person’s back pain.Manga was born Ulta, so that’s why he had that magic.So Manga kicks on Mark back got some sort of reief to his back pain.So the officer got happy from Manga’s work.As a result the officer hires him at his place as his worker.So Manga gets happy by this decision.As a result he thinks that all firangi’s are not bad people.One day the british officer along with the Raja makes a plan of opening a liquor factory.So the place on which they wanted to open the liquor factory was on some village.That village was the village of Manga’s love i.e Sargi.So because of some circumstances the officer and Raja manages to get land of the villagers.Manga was responsible behind this situation.So all the villagers were very angry with Manga as they thought that Manga is giving his support to the britishers.So as the movie progress Manga along with the villagers manages to get there land back as well as they ables to send the office back.By doing this he gets the trust of his love Sargi.And they both get together at the end.
Talking about performance, Kapil Sharma as Manga has done nice job in playing his character.Ishita dutta as Sargi has also done ok job.
Talking about songs, the songs in the movie were quite good.Being a punjabi I loved every song in the movie.Aslo the songs were beautifully pitchurised in the movie.
Talking about the cinematography, the director Rajiv Dhingra has done ok job in terms of direction.The screenplay of the movie was although slow.But all and all it was a nice movie to watch.
