I was indeed shocked to read the account by Surendra Jain on First Step. My older son stepped out of First Step 4 years ago and my younger son is almost on his way out!
It was only after my older son joined First Step that I realised that Playschool’s are’nt just a place to learn rhymes and alphabets.The initial resistance of the child vanishes as he enters the friendly gates of First Step.He is greeted by many reassuring voices.
Personally I feel that all the time I could devote to my child here at home cannot equal what can be done in 3 hours at First Step!The owner- director of the school personally sees to the running of the school , gets to know each child, is in constant contact with teachers and parents and individual needs and capacities of the child are considered.Here, I want to personally thank the director and all staff members of the school for their efforts.I wish First Step all the success and will be back twenty years from now to admit my grand children!!
