Both FirstCry and GoodLife started out with a bang - nicely designed websites and loads of products to choose from. We have a small baby and have been buying regularly from them, but this last experience left a really bad taste in the mouth.
Needless to say - I am not shopping there again - I recommend that you instead shop for baby and kids products from Babyoye.com and hoopos.com - both are excellent.
About our recent FirstCry order - we ordered 4 packs of Pampers diapers on 27 Nov 2012 - total was roughly Rs 2100. We received 2 packs a few days later in a cardboard box. The invoice attached to the box said 4 packs, and the total amount. We thought nothing of this - since sometimes deliveries are split into parts because of non-availability.
Today, after calls every single day to the customer care - its the same story. Either they want a photograph of the cardboard box(they expect us to go back in time to take the photo) - or they claim that the full 4 packs were shipped and delivered(which means they are accusing us of lying) or they say they will check in their warehouse and call us back. They have not called back ever.
I would just like to point out that we have been nothing but polite and civil in our correspondence - this is not our first order - and we have no reason to lie about 2 packs of diapers. Right now I am left with no option but to dispute the payment with the credit card company - this is a long and tiresome process. The refund(if it comes) will take time.
Just want to warn anyone who wants to shop at firstcry - BEWARE. Go to hoopos.com or babyoye.com.
