Pardon the cliched use of Hinglish.i seriously oppose but the things one does to get some attention!
well I am a rather fashion conscious person.my convictions about the same are rooted in the fact that God didnt quite go crazy while doing me up.or lets say he wasnt generous but went crazy all they way.or so I like to assume and hence wallow in self pity! clothes are my only refuge.
but you can never have five top brands! clothing is very style specific.if you rollerblade, skateboard or any other X sport I would go with Quiksilver, Oneil, Billabong, Volcon, Carhartt and maybe Com8 and Ecko.however a more corporate job would exige Zegna, Armani, Ralph Lauren and Boss.if you r a corporate and on a sporty vacation then one could go with Lacoste, Hilfiger sport, Polo Sport, and maybe Marlbro and Camel for a lil outdoor adventure.a lil Burberry and Louis Vuitton even in accessories is always welcome.that apart always make sure you have a minimum of two black suits in different cuts, a minimum of five pastel shirts, three basic two pleat trousers, a few ties(pastels rather than prints or checks or stripes) and the odd jean(why not a diesel or G-star raw or Jack n Jones). Keep some polo shirts and tees as they are best to relax in.shoes.aww now thats another chapter in itself!
that apart anything else is party wear.but then we could discuss forever how much is actually enough!
I am a hedonist and find my money well spent on such even before it actually enters my account! I have no regrets whatsoever!
I do understand the financial crunch one could experience while trying to put together one such wardrobe.while I do feel that a good wardrobe could well run into sums equivalent of the GDP of a small african nation, I guess when it comes to looking good it is a small price to pay.but if I have to buy non brands, I would prefer to go for simple stuff rather than go for cheap immitations(fake lacoste from sarojini types) because the only thing worse than being style conscious is being a fashion wannabe!
