I had worked at 2 major companies. They were Kerala Feeds Ltd. and Vaidyaratnam Oushadhalayam Pvt Ltd.In this case jobs in Kerala Feeds Limited is comfortable because it is a Government Company and a highly automated company. It was helped to reduces the stress and work load of the employees. So the employees can done more works at a limited period of time.
But in Vaidyaratnam Oushadhalayam is a Private Company and it is owned, managed and controlled by Thaikkattu Mooss family. Generally society said that they are good personalities but they are actually fraud and selfish personalities. This is understood only after joining any works in that company. In this company most of the works are done in mannual methods and it will helps to increases the stress and workload of workers. So the workers can not done at more works at limited period of time.
Generally companies are provide salary increments are either on the basis of performance like productivity, profitability or turnover or on the basis of their seniorities. But in Vaidyaratnam it is done on the basis of giving a complaint about another staff and other factors have not any value. It is a culture less policy of a company. If a staff is give a complaint about another staff complainant is getting an increment and complainer is get out. After a few months complainant become a complainer and another complainant will arises. Therefore more salary increment is to be given in the hands of QA physicians because their risk, responsibility and work load is very low and he has get a lot of time for giving complaint about others to the top management. But others have not get enough time for this purpose. If the staffs who have solve their problems to mutual solution they have not any value in Vaidyaratnam Company. It will helps to reducing the co ordination among the staffs and departments.It is an HRD strategy of this organisation and it will effect huge rate of labour turnover in that organisation. So the staffs have not any existence in that company. Its directors always support this factor due to reducing cost through salary revision.
In this company always utilises sincere and efficient workers for accomplish their needs. But these workers have not get any additional remuneration. It is easy to understand the culture of the company.
In Kerala Feeds Ltd. Unit Heads and other top level managers are appointed on the basis of promotion and they were professional in nature. But in Vaidyaratnam Oushadhalayam they were directly appointed through external sources and they were not professional in nature. It will adversely effect the quality of the organisation and it will makes the huge rate of labour turnover in the organisation. Their directors always support this factor and it will helps to reducing the cost through salary revision and enhancement of directors remuneration.
The leaves allows for an employee in Private Sector is always lower than that of Public sector. It is similar in the point of job security also.
