Let me start off with LOVE SONGS and then go on to the better ones, i.e.; the ANTI-LOVE SONGS. Ok, fasten your seats belt and prepare to get mushy.
- I’D LOVE YOU TO WANT ME – Lobo
One of the most romantic numbers of all times. It is a classic. Listen and get hooked.
- WHEN YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL – Ronan Keating
The best Ronan Keating song, ever. I don’t think he can ever top that. All his other songs are just about ok. But, this one’s so damn right.
- LONELY IS THE NIGHT – Air Supply
These guys are maybe the band which has belted out the maximum number of romantic songs. They deserve an OSCAR for being MUSHY. A nice song nevertheless. Listen to it when you are away from your loved one and are missing her/him like crazy.
- ANYTHING FOR LOVE – Meatloaf
The BEAUTY and the BEAST kind of video of this song is really nice. The song is a BLOW HOT BLOW COLD kind of a song. It starts of real slow and then switches gears to fast, comes back to slow and repeats. Good vocals. Good Music and a great video.
- ALWAYS – Bon Jovi
One of the very few love songs which lives and dies with you. Keeps playing in your head over and over again. There are two versions, the faster one and the slower ones. Depends on your mood, which one you will like. Both are good.
Some of the other good numbers are – “I MISS YOU – Darren Hayes”, “PLEASE FORGIVE ME – Bryan Adams”, “NOVEMBER RAIN – Guns ‘n’ Roses”, “BEAUTIFUL GIRL – INXS”, “IF I LET YOU GO – Westlife”, “SHAPE OF MY HEART – Backstreet Boys”, “WHITE FLAG – Dido” and the list goes on and on.
Now comes the good part of the review(Atleast the part I like). I don’t know whether the following songs are “LOVE” songs, but they are great. They are also extremely funny. Not out rightly, but in a bizarre kind of way. After, reading this part of the review, please don’t come to the conclusion that I am a PSYCHO, although the songs seem to have been picked by a MADMAN. I can relate to these songs in a lot of situations and that’s why I like them. HARDCORE ROMANTICS BEWARE. Don’t go further. Stop here and forget this review, ‘cos if you hear these songs, you will be made to think and thinking and being in love can never go hand in hand.
- SEXED UP – Robbie Williams
This is a ground breaking song. It is the only song in which the guy is breaking up with a girl by singing a romantic song. The tune is absolutely romantic and if you do not carefully listen to the lyrics or don’t pay attention to the words you will end up thinking that it is a love song. I’ll tell u what; listen to this song first, without paying attention to the https://lyrics. Just concentrate on the tune. Then, download the lyrics from the net and listen to the song again. You will be surprised.
- MISUNDERSTOOD – Bon Jovi
Brilliant song. Amazing video. If, you listen to this song without having seen the video, you will like it. But, if you see the video, you will love it. It’s one of the most humorous videos ever.
- SOMETHING STUPID – Robbie Williams And Nicole Kidman
People below 18 years of age, please do not watch this video. People above 18, do not miss it. It is actually an old song, sung by Frank & Nancy Sinatra. It gives you an idea about when and where the words ‘I LOVE YOU’ should NOT be used.
- Everything About You – Ugly Kid Joe
PARENTAL ADVISORY – Explicit Lyrics. I like this song ‘cos it’s energetic.
I am sure most of you will hate this song, but to each his/her own. Listen to this song on the day you break up with someone and you will worship UGLY KID JOE.
- Love To See You Cry – Enrique Iglesias
I do not like this song, but I can’t seem to figure out which insane son of a b can think of such a sadistic title for a song. The lyrics are juvenile, like most of the pop song lyrics, “ I DON’T KNOW WHY, BUT I LOVE TO SEE YOU CRY”. Could have been a good anti-love song, only if it was not pop.
