When we hear the word REMIX, several things come to mind
-bikini clad girls dancing around men’seductively’
-innapropriate english lyrics thrown about the place
-unbearable sounding music and clashes
-completely destroying an classic song.
However, not all remixes are bad. If you just forget the video, some can actually be ok. Sometimes remixes can bring back old songs which have been lost through time. They can add a beat in the background and modernise some of the old classics. They can also create awareness about very old songs among young people! The following 5 are ones that I like -

This is possibly my favourite remix. Truthfully, I think its better than the original. The song is beautiful, it has a funky background beat and no innapropriate English lyrics are thrust in wherever they can fit them in. It does the original song justice!

I purely like this song because of the pure energy in it. Listen to it to understand what i’m talking about. No innapropriate lyrics shoved in this song either. Play this song at top volume to get everyone in the room dancing. It has a really funky beat!

Okay okay, before all of you Padosan fans burn me alive, hear me out! If we’re talking about the 5 BEST remixes, I definitely think this is one. It has recreated the song, rather than using the old one and throwing it about the place. It has used great orchestral music, as well as combining english lyrics with the main song, rather as a battered extra.

Never thought I would use this word for a remix, but this song is definitely a beautiful remix, as good as the original, maybe a little better. A lovely soothing song(probably why its called Instant Karma), it mentally soothes you and is beautiful. It doesn’t mess up the song - it enhances it!

This song has a very floaty feel around it. No heavy music, no heavy lyrics, singing is done nicely. This is a sweet remix to listen to in the house when you want a bit of peace and quiet. I’ve heard some terrible remixes of this song(check it out on the Crazy Berry Mix) and you’ll see what I mean!

Before I finish this review, I would just like to say that I know that NOTHING IS EVER AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL. I also think remix videos are disgusting and pretty much another way of showing porn.but that doesn’t mean we can label all remixes as bad and say that they should be banished from this world!
