The following are my favourite five best Indian authors. They are:
R.K.Narayan:
He is a classical novel author. His novel “The Guide” which was taken as Hindi movie in which Devanand and Vaheeda Rahman acts as roles of Raju and Rosie respectively. This novel is a one type love story between above mentioned characters.
Arundathi Roy:
She is the winner of Booker prize for her masterpiece " The God of Small Things". In this novel, she shows satire on Marxism. This novel is a tale of marginalised woman.
Shasi Deshpande:
Recently, she came into the news who leads the movement against Sahithya Academi for not responding of death of an author who was killed by anonymous person. She is feminine writer. Her master piece " That long Silence" shows the gap between married couple. In this novel, there are some deceived characters as sub plots.
Salman Rushdie:
He is a Muslim writer and his famous master piece "Midnight Children". This novel depicts a fictions story in India from the independence to the time of Bangladesh partitioned from India while Indira Gandhi was ruling India.
Mulk Raj Anand:
He is the oldest writer comparing with the above writer’s time. His novel "untouchable" touches the hearts of everyone who read this novel. This novel depicts about untouchable persons who are punished in the hands of high cast people.
