Gol maal - Directed by *Hrishkesh mukerhiji *, Amol has been casted as *Ramprasad and Laxman prasad in this movie. The main lead role is played by **Bindiya Goswami and the other important actor includes Utpul Datt. In this movie amol has acted as an middle class guy who is in search of a job and is in love with the girl whos father is a strict guy. The main object in this movie is "moustache" which plays an important role and confuses the girls father Utpul datt. Overall a splendid comedian acting performance of amol makes this movie an ever green any time watchable comedy movie.
Chhoti Si baat - directed by *Basu Chatterjee , Amol has been casted as Arun in this movie. The main lead role is played by Vidya Sinha and also other actors include **Asrani and Ashok kumar. This is an comedial romantic movie. The chhoti si baat is here to express the love to the lover. The actor names in this movie is simple and this also falls in the range of middle class types . the story is all about the arun who falls in love with prabha , but who is not very confident in expressing his love to her , which in turn makes a way to nagesh who every time snacthes the opportunity from arun. The other half of the movie is shown the confidence growth of arun with the help of ashok kumar. Overall the beautiful acting performance of amol palekar and good direction indeed makes this watchable every time.
Chitchor - directed by *Basu chatterjee , amol has been casted as vinod in this movie. The main lead role includes **Zarina Wahhab , Vijendra and A K hangal . This movie is an romantic movie , where in amol has acted as middle class ordinary employee not an engineer , who loves a village girl geeta, who is the daughter of the village school master. The main concept in this movie is about the villagers having a belief on the engineer and feels engineer to be more learnt and good earner compared to other employee’s. The school master get misjudges vinod as the engineer and plans to give his daughter to him, and later gets disappointed coming to know that vinod not being an engineer wherein sunil is the actual engineer, so he forces his daughter to shifts her mind on sunil and to forget vinod. Overall the musical touch and beautiful songs and indeed an innocent acting performance by amol palekar makes this movie more successful.
Baton Baton Mein - directed by Basu Chatterjee , amol has been casted as Tony in this movie. The main lead role inculdes Tina munium , G Asrani and Leela Misra . The movie is musical extravaganza love story, this is based on the marriages made in the chirstian community. As every mother even rosie wants her daughter to get married to a wealthy guy, who rosie gets tony in the train, she allows tony to meet her daughter and they both fell in love, But tony is skeptical about the marriage and the behaviour of rosie, which upsets nancy. But at the end tony discovers his mistakes and marries nancy. Overall the splendid acting performance as an middle class salary employed christian guy has been casted to amol palekar, who has done it very beautiful, and also the music plays a very important role in this movie.
Rajnigandha - Directed by *Basu Chatterjee, Amol has been casted as Sanjay *in this movie. The other lead actors includes Vidya Sinha and Dilip Thakur . This movie is all about the choicing of the right person between the most caring husband and her previous lover. This movie almost draws the similar comparison on the chhotti si baat but the character is turned towards the female role. Amol palekar has been acted as an caring husband who is much caring to his wife Deepa. Deepa gets the chance to meet her boyfriend and still hopes that he would come back. But the Sanjay draws her attention towards with the gift of the beautiful flowers ’rajinigandha" which turns her mind towards her husband and doesn’t allows to fluctuate furthur. Overall a good performance both by amol and vidya made this movie more interesting and good to watch.
