Unforgettable Jodis of yester years.

Long time have not said a hi or hello to my mouthshut group. First A very Happy New Year 2009 to one and all. I was in India since I lost my sister in law so thiis is one way I am helped in forgetting her.

Well my best five jodis would be the singers of the yester years whose songs are still heard even though they are no more.

Well could one forget duets sung by our late Rafi saab and the Nightingale Lata Mangeshkar whether it be romantic or sad songs or comedy for that matter. Lata Did was a hit even with the late Mukesh ji or the late Kidhore Da himself.

Then there is her sister Asha Bhosle who still gives the young ones a lesson or two still. IIf lLata ji sang with Rafi ji a duet saying(Dil pukare re arey arey abhi na ja mere saathi dil pukare arey arey arey.)Jewel Thief.

Asha ji sang with him a duet(Door bahut mat jayie lekey karaar hamara aisa na ho koi loot le raha mein pyar hamara.) Phir wohi dil laya hoon). Both the sisters have sung beautiful duets with each of these singers. There is the Late Geeta Dutt and Rafi saab again. Can we hear those songs like.(Hum Aap ki aankhon mein is dik ko basey de toh.)

There was a singer like Shamshad Begum who sang(Lekey pehla pehla pyar bhar ke aankhon mein khuwar jadoo nagri se aaya hai koi jadugar. Its not that I don’t like the singers of now Yes I liked Alka Yagnik when she used to sing with Kumar Sanu they sang a few very good songs they were good.

There was Talat Mehmood who sang beautiful duet like(Itna na mujsey tu pyar bada ke mein hun ek badal awaara.) in Chaaya with Lata ji again. I have just started and can go on but it’s too late so Good night and God Bless to all of you out there.
