Hit and Miss Duo

I’m going to cut to the chase for the best

anand-milind songs. I want to focus more on the brilliance in the songs, than a

cheesy intro. I’m going to do a top ten of their best songs, not their most

famous songs unfortunately. They have MANY more amazing songs than this but

these are their best works in my opinion.

10. *Yaar Mat Jaa* from **Aazmayish **1995

Sung By Sonu Nigam & Alka Yagnik

The music is very simple, and the song

mostly relies on Sonu’s singing. It’s different than their usual songs, and you

can notice the creativity put in to this song. I listen to it over and over, it’s

ultimately catchy.

9. *Tumhein Hum Bahut Pyar* from **Jallaad** 1995

Sung By Hariharan & Sadhana Sargam

It has simple lyrics, effective singing,

and the perfect tune. Again you can notice the effort put in to this song, it’s

so catchy and doesn’t have the typical A-M formula. The instruments are used at

their best.

8. *Nafrat Ki Duniya Se Door *from **Duniya

Jhukti Hai** 1996

Sung Abhijeet & Kavita Krishnamurthy

This is one of the songs were they take

their normal formula and make something amazing out of it. The lyrics are

perfect, talking about escaping all the hatred and going some afar and peaceful

with the one you love. There’s a lot of effort put in by the singers. The song

is over 7 minutes, and it’s amazing and catchy every second. It’s one of their

lesser heard songs, and that’s a shame.

7. *Dushmani Chodo Sanam* from **Madhosh** 1994

Sung by Udit Narayan & Sadhana Sargam

The amazing piano intro, takes this song to

heights. The lyrics are simple and sugary. The singing is spectacular, and the

tune is the typical A-M with a lot of effort. It’s so good, I don’t know how to

say it.

6.* Aa Jaa Jaane Jaa* From **Anth** 1994

Sung By Abhijeet & Kavita Krishnamurthy

It’s their best “baarish gaana” ever. I can’t

get enough of this tune. The lyrics are average, but the singing is effective.

The music is what I love the most. They rehashed parts of their previous songs

and made the perfect catchy tune ever. I love the use of the thunder, the rain,

and their beats are used so well. My mind just dances, it’s so good.

5. *Meri Bekraariyon Ko Qaarar De De *from

**Faraar** 1994(Unreleased Movie)

Sung By Udit Naryan

It has the same theme as their previous

amazing compositions such as *Papa Kehte Hai*(QSQT), *Samja Karo Baat Jaani

*(Daulat Ki Jung) and *Jaane Se Pehle*(Inteha Pyar Ki). The lyrics are just

perfect, talking about the desperation for our desire. Udit sings it well just

like the numbers I’ve mentioned above. Again is the case where they take their

typical formula but make something great from it.

4. *Paayal Kare Yeh Cham Cham* from **Mere

Sapno Ki Rani** 1997

Sung By Udit Narayan & Alka Yagnik

Listen to this song, seriously. The lyrics

are average, and the singing is quite good. It’s the tune and composition by

A-M that make this simply innovative. If you listen to it, can’t you just

picture you instilled into the movie** Devdas **? This was composed 5 years before

**Devdas**, and yet could easily be placed in that album. This song is the unknown

inspiration for that album.

3. *Pyar Ikrar Mere Yaar Ho Gaya *from **Jai Vikraanta **1994

Sung By Kumar Sanu & Alka Yagnik

The music is lively, and the lyrics are

simple but great. The great singing makes this duet perfect. It’s perfect,

because it’s a love song, but it’s so full of energy. A-M uses their favourite instruments

and makes them sound awesome. The song is nearly 8 minutes long, and holds your

attention full way/

2. **Inteha Pyar Ki** 1992(The Whole Album)

Hands down, this their best work to date. I

can’t express how much the lyrics and music create such masterpieces. I can’t

figure out which songs would be the best because they’re different but perfect

in their own way. **Tere Liye Duniya Mein Aaye**, is expressing being made for each

other, sung with heart and soul by Suresh Wadkar & Sadhana Sargam. **Rishta

Pyar Ka Na Toote** sung in the prime days of Udit and Kavita, though it’s

inspired by a Pakistani song with a similarly worded name, this version is

heaven to the ears. **Main Na Bhoolaunga** by the Suresh and Sadhana Team, and

talks about not forgetting promises and such. I can’t describe how perfect this

album is, seriously have a listen. They have the album on https://desi-radio.com

and their best song ever is….

1. *Aankhon Main Band Karloon *From **Sangdil

Sanam** 1994

Sung by Amit Kumar and Sadhana Sargam

Perfect. The music is soft, haunting and

spectacular. The lyrics are my life, talking about how much you want to close

your eyes, breathe and for the moment to stay so nothing fades. Amit Kumar

sings it so well, and Sadhana is enchanting. A-M never get the credit they

deserve. The tune is fresh and they do what it takes to make it so damn catchy

and wonderful!

Please check out these songs. They go

unnoticed and are they’re best works.

If I wanted to make a top 20, here’s what I would’ve added on, which you should check out!
