The plot is simple..It is jsut like any other murder case with Poirot not convinced about the verdict..The accused Daughter persuades Poirot to take up the case..Well the only problem is that everything is over and closed and all teh files are resting in the cabinets..No talks with the accused with the accused and the witness..All Poirot can do is imagine the character of accused which he builds up from the opinion of the people who were close to her..Now there are five people who could have commited the murder..Sometimes he finds the facts so misleading that he thinks that he is on a wild goose chase..Can Poirot solve this one??Read the novel
Agatha Christie is at her usual best..She convinces the reader one moment about thing and the very next thing you are proved wrong..It is sort of book which makes you feel ’’Oh mY god..It was so clear all the way..why did I not see it’’..Yes that is the way it is..The facts are placed right in front of your eyes..All you have got to do is place them properly..All that matters is how you place the character of each person involved and then the solution will be placed right in front of you..Poirot possess this amazing power of recognition of people’s nature and sure he is a great mind reader..Amazing book by an amazing writer..happy reading
