What made you read the book? Ill start with why I picked the book.Well, the title sounded interesting. What made me buy the book? The blurb. What made me read the book?I didnt have any other use for the book, now that I bought it.
Now coming to rating the book... It is an ordinary work, agreed.Yet, Five Point Someone has been written ordinarily well, makes an interesting read. You want to know what happens with these guys in the IIT campus and why the book says this is about What not to do at IIT ....You as a reader want to know what is the not thinking straight thinking these guys are doing...
I dont know if Ive read any other book that I could finish so quickly, which is to say you just go on from one page to the other, have your moments of laughter and end up thinking -okay not a great piece but not too bad either!I must admit, I began to start liking that Ryan guy for a while for his wackiness and take-it-easy attitude!
The authors writing style is very simple and very college student like, which is perfectly alright because you could then, easily relate to the characters and the way they would talk and behave. The language is very much Delhi collegiate lingo and Id give due credit to the author for not trying too hard and making it a readable book.
Those who have really liked the book end up trying to picture the characters every time they are in and around the IIT campus! Will recommend it to those who are not much into reading and yet want to read something light, enjoy it, laugh and forget about it.
