I know the pain of heartbreak. Therefore my choice of five songs for a heartbroken lover goes as follows:

This song of Akele hum and Akele tum is my first choice. This song picturised on Aamir khan and Manisha Koirala when Aamir thinks that Manisha has reached new heights and is no longer loves him. He sings this song, The playback singer is Kumar saanu and he has sung it brilliantly
2) Tadap tadap ke:
This song is one of the best song for heart broken people. No need to tell me that this song is from Hum Dil de chuke Sanam and picturised on Salman Khan and Aishwariya Rai when Salman goes from her life forever and she goes and sees him for the last time. The picturisation is very catchy when Aishwariya’s dress gets burned and she is not conscious about it. One of the most legendry songs
3) Woh meri neend mera chain lauta do
This song is from Hum hai Rahi Pyaar ke and is picturised on Aamir khan and Juhi Chawla the night before Aamir is going to get engaged to someone else. She is in love with Aamir khan which is expressed in this song. The playback singer is Alka Yagnik who has expressed emotions to the fullest.
4) Dil Mera Tod Diya Usne:
This song of Kasoor would be my third choice. Again sung by Alka yagnik and picturised on Liza Ray in a situation where she gets to know that her lover Aftab Shivdasani is not as faithful as she thinks him to be.
5) Maine Tumse Pyaar Bahut kiya
This heartbroken song is from the movie barsaat and picturised on Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra. Sung by Alka Yagnik its words are very catchy. The situation is on the day of Karwa Chauth when she has observed fast for her husband without taking water he comes and tells her to sign the divorce papers. She couldnt do anything and goes to that same God from whom she has asked the well being of her husband. The expression is really terrific and the lyrics re very good
