It is very much true

Regarding Ambassador it is very much correct as per my own experience.

I was using an Ambassador as soon I got a license(in 1987), also I was proud to be’be indian and buy Indian’.

But from Mark 1 to Mark 4, the main difference is changing the indicator. This shown the the commitment of HM towards Indians.

So today even if today(2003) Ambassador offer be a car with gold plated, I don’t buy.

Imagine the situation of Indians if the foreign cars are not allowed in India and with the new Ambassador with a change of’wheel cup’, and Mark 5 or 7.

During the 16 years of Ambassador car use,

1) I had changed the Petrol Engine to Matador Diesel(since the BMC engine is use less and no power).

2) Changed the seat to bucket seat(now they have come up with that)

3) Welded the whole body as soon as the purchase(imagine you pay the full cash for a car and taking to the work shop for re-welding)

4) Be careful, If you take a reverse there is no break.

5) I broke the Axile 3 or 4 times, it is because of the play.
