Vaidyaratnam is the worst company I have ever worked. Major problem effected by that company are lack of professional management, direct appointment of unit heads and other top level managers, special consideration of the QC department officials, attitude of directors, ineffective HR system and huge rate of labour turnover.
In this company lack of professional management is their biggest problem from the beginning to today. In this company managers are done their duties at their own interest without any proper documentation or request. In a professional management company purchase of materials are done through the requisition from concerned department with requested quantities only. But in Vaidyaratnam company it is done through the interest of purchase manager only. Sometimes purchase manager is purchase some raw materials without any requisiotion from RM store and it may become the problem of lack of space for stacking and the purchased materials have not any consumption or requirement. But the RM store officials have not any right to return this materials. It will create the conflict between the various departments of the company. If the managers are professionals this problem is completely eliminated.
In Vaidyaratnam company unit heads and other top level managers are directly appointed through external sources and they have not any idea about the organisational structure, existing employees, production planning and technologies. Therefore their ego complex are more and it will adversely effect the overall quality of the organisation. If they are appointed through promotion they have well idea about the organisational structure, existing employees, production planning and technology. It will eliminate the conflict between management and workers.
In this company QC department officials have special preference like Article 370 of Kashmir in India. They have coming and going at any time. They can work at their own interest. They have special right to postpone their duties for their personal purposes. They can take leave at their own interest also. Therefore these policies will make the delay in testing of materials and it will effect the overall process of these company. But in other department officials have not allowed these consideration and if they have to take a leave their entire tasks are to be assigned to other staff only.
Nowadays industrial automation is essential for every manufacturing companies. But in Vaidyaratnam Comany its directors are not support this facilities. The major reason is that lack of well experienced professional engineers and the lack of technical ideas and ego clashes of its directors. They are said that it is reducing the workload of its workers and they may become idle. But this is helpful for improving the production capacities and reducing the number of manpower in the organisation. Therefore their productivity and profitability is to increased. It will actually increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of workers.
In this company attitude of its directors are fraud in nature. My friend has getting a placement in their marketing department as a sales executive and an appointment letter is get to him. He was reporting to their HR department and their officials said that current time is covid season and we will call you. After a few months new placement is given to another candidate and he was not got any informations. He was enquired about their HR department and they were said that we are talk about our directors and wait here. Afterthat he was got an information that vacancies are already filled and if another vacancies are made we will call you. It is easily understand that if any placement is got in Vaidyaratnam company it is not trustable in nature.
If an employee is left from this firm all realisation of allowances eligible to that employee is the responsibility of the employer. But in Vaidyaratnam company it is a slow moving process because their directors are sadists and they are enjoying the inconvenience of others.In this company top level managers and unit heads have not any existence and the digital signature of EPF is delegated in the hands of Unit Heads. If an Unit Head is left from this company then new Unit Head is recruited and the papers relating to various authorities are maximum delayed from its directors. If the papers relating to EPF are maximum delayed then the approval of digital signature to the Unit Head from EPF authority is maximum delayed. Then the withdrawal of EPF amount to the resigned, retired or terminated employees is to be delayed. Then the amount got to these employees is to be maximum delayed. It will not make any economic benefit to its directors but it will be increasing the mental satisfaction of its directors through the inconvenience of their formal employees. This is an extra ordinary feature of Vaidyaratnam Company.
In this company HR system is not effective. Therefore inexperienced and corrupted persons was appointed in management cadre. Corrupted person from government service at the time of suspension was appointed as the CGM of the company, scrap trader was appointed as the Unit Head of the company and a priest was appointed as the Assistant Manager of the company. They have not any ideas or professional background about their portfolio. Therefore their ego complex are in highest level. These were adversely effected the overall quality of the organisation. After a certain period they were left from this organisation due to various reasons.
In this company labour turnover is always high. The major reason is that remuneration problems. In this company salaries and allowances of workers are increased as per government policies only. If the government is increasing the minimum wages they are ready for implementing it. Otherwise they can not allowed any salary increments to the workers. Efforts for increasing productivity, profitability and turnover have not any value to the workers in this company. For this purpose their entrepreneurs are influenced every state governments, central government and major political parties. Therefore the central government and state governments are increasing minimum wages in names only. Therefore it is highly beneficial to the company and the workers in names only.In this company efficient and sincere employees are highly exploited by the management. But they have not get any incentives or motivations. After a certain period they were left from this organisation. It will create a huge rate of labour turnover in that company. Its directors are also support this factor due to reducing cost through salary revision.
If a candidates is get a placement and he is joined in this company in QC department is good and other departments are worst in nature.
