Hi guys! I have chosen to write about this topic as I have lots of time to waste and also I have looooots to say on this subject! There are a large number of serious contenders for the ’worst’ title and for some reason the first name that pops into my mind is ’EKTA KAPOOR’...
Well, I don’t think I need to say much about this SOAP QUEEN. She has bored a good number of us to death, her serials stretch like a gooey chewing gum [even that breaks at some point]. Look, I agree that we needn’t watch her idiot soaps but there also needs to be some respect for us viewers..since she’s here because of us only. I mean, how many times can you misunderstand, suspect, cheat, malign, torture... a person? COme on...give me a break guys. Real life baddies aren’t this heartless. AND its always got to be the GOOD GUY who suffers. And, ultimately almost all her soaps come to same point.. lovers don’t meet...they invariably end up with someone they didn’t want to marry and that someone is...I DON’T KNOW HOW...is always the bad guy...

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Doesn’t need any introduction. It has been around..since I was born I guess. I used to once faithfully watch KSBKBT, but after Mihir’s death and his ’REBIRTH’.. I guess the story began to haywire. With Mandira, her illegitimate son Karan, the missing son Gautam who returns in the guise of Satan, darling Nandini in prison now, many many many [I don’t know how many] twenty year leaps; I don’t know what to say. As for BA; she’s definitely gotta be a medical miracle. She’s been there for so long, I guess she has outlived her husband by at least two light years. All the weeping and lies and deceit and er..mercy killing now, I award KSBKBT the first prize!
KUM PAANCH sorry.. HUM PAANCH I don’t have much to say about this particular soap, except that she should have let it remain a good memory...
KASAUTI ZINDAGI KI This is another weepy, drippy, nasty soap of hers.. As usual, lovers are separated... The gal [darling Prerna] ends up with the guy’s [On-oo-raag] rival.. they have big families.. as usual the son is kidnapped at a young age..turns up as a big goon later..all that rona-dhona.. And have you noticed, Madame Socialist always has a rape sequence in her soaps? Society has to fight it, she says. Who can fight her?
Okay guys...I gotta stop here..need to award a few consolation prizes..
Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin This one really had us going in the beginning.. Plain Jane but smart..Armaan Sir’s escapades..Jassi’s wit and wisdom...were all great. Then, Purab’s entry..JJKN started deteriorating.. The hype made regarding her makeover..remember? Now JJKN totally sucks I think..It should gotten off air a couple of years ago...
India Calling Caan’t say much about this..I stopped watching it long ago.. CHandni was endearing , Adi the hotshot arrogant guy, upturned nose Nigaar and the potbelly Vishesh...not to forget B-G... But yaar..come on there’s a limit to goody-goody behaviour..and now it seems MR. Best doesn’t have courage to propose...wierd! And that Manisha Didi [drug addict I think] was totally annoying..
I think I should stop here.. NO offense meant to anyone who likes these soaps..Just penning my thoughts...
