I went with sorta high expectations....good star cast and a director who is himself a film critic !
Alas.....it turned out to be a directorial disaster.
The story as such is okey dokey....a brother lost in the Bbay riots, the sis who keeps trying to locate him, realising her bro is a militant and finally killing him herself...but the execution is awful !
The film is too slow, the songs seem to be cut & pasted into the movie, there is no sense of continuity at all. Lots of directorial snafus.
For ex, Jaya Bhaduri is lying dead, with Karishma weeping all over her....and the camera zooms in for a close up shot...and voila !!! U see Jaya’s eyelids fluttering !!!!
I guess Jaya has aged a bit, but surely Khalid Mohd. could have seen this in the review and edited it out...jeez.....it was really pathetic...seeing such good talent go waste.
Khalid Mohd. better stick to what he’s good at..
