I have booked a ticket for Bangkok around a month back with Flight Shop Noida, by a specific person named Shruti Goel. Since beginning there has been a non-responsiveness and careless attitude about handling the requests I have given. Many a times when I had called up she has been on leave and no one attended to the request, which is very strange. This issue has caused a lot of discomfort.
Lately, because of the issues in Thailand when I asked her to cancel the tickets, she informed me that the charges will be approx INR 4100 for cancellation (on 17th May, 2010). Next day I confirmed her to cancel the tickets, and she was on leave but mentioned that the ticket will be cancelled and the amount will be same as INR 4100 (18th May). As I came to know she was on leave, I wrote another mail to ensure that she should cancel the ticket and confirm me, and if she cannot do it, she should have that forwarded to any of her colleague so that this is taken care off. She did not notify me until I wrote her again the today in the noon (19th May) .
That’s when she called me and told me that the carrier (Thai Airways) has increased the cancellation charges to INR 6195 as against INR 4100 earlier. I enquired her that in a days time how can this be changed by ThaiAir but she insisted that it is the case. I specifically asked her what was the cancellation charges of Flightshop and that of ThaiAir, she added that its all Thaiair, flightshop is not charging anything. I had to call the Thai Air and ask them to my surprise they mentioned that we are not charging a single penny for any cancellation and the full amount is refundable. They even informed me to support me for any clarification with the agent. When I called her again and told this, she said this is something she will have to check. She did not come back after that to me.
This is a ridiculous way to make money. I had no issues paying any services charges towards the flight shop, for providing this support, however if this is the way they want to make money, this is a rogue way to do so. If she would have mentioned the amount correctly to me, I would have not question Thai Air and would have paid that as well. This is a serious concern and harassment to me.
They have such a pathetic service that I don’t want to even rate them, but unfortunately there is no way this site would let me put this!
