Flipkart is going down!!

Flipkart has become a household name now but off late that name is being spoiled by wrong policies that the company is employing. The latest one being the non delivery of products to Uttar Pradesh of a value higher than 10, 000 rupees.

Recently I wanted to buy a google nexus 4 phone from their site but as soon as I entered my pin code on the site, I was greeted by a message- "Not available in your location yet!" Normally I would think that such a message would be displayed when a company has some logistical difficulty in reaching the location but in this case it’s nothing like that. I went ahead and goggled the situation so as to find out the reason behind this message and guess what I find, that it’s a deliberate decision taken by the company. Now I am thinking, why in the fu**ing hell would a company do something like that and lose business to the most populated area in the world. Companies are falling over each other  to set up shop here and on the other hand we have Flipkart doing the opposite.

The reason given by them for this step is laughable to say the least. If they were being bothered by mischievous orders from some negative elements then also there was no need for such a drastic step. Only COD of higher value orders needed to be stopped. Why stop prepaid orders too??

I called up flipkart customer care to inquire if any exception can be made and a delivery be made if I pay the amount upfront. But the reply I got was a straightforward ’NO’, making everyone in UP feel like cheats and miscreants. Damn Flipkart for thinking it can make such a large population feel like cheats for no fault of theirs. If we were to paint large sections of people based on activity of some people then I am afraid ’Flipkart’ would be called biggest cheats keeping in mind the kind of treatment that is being meted out to some customers now.

A friend of mine is fighting to get back his 12, 500 rupees from Flipkart. Shouldn’t I call everybody in Flipkart thieves for this situation??

Clearly something is horribly wrong at Flipkart and they are trying to hide it by labeling everyone in UP a cheat. Flipkart is going down and people should refrain from making large prepaid orders from this portal as you never know when it will be shut down and your money disappears.
