I have been an avid online shopper since nascent stage of online e-commerce in 2005-06 to till now. I must say given the rise of flipkart, like every other Indian, I have been attached to this site from so long I don’t remember now. I bought lot of stuff from it, mostly because of trust and 30 day guarantee which was a rare phenomena in olden days. The trust had continued however since a yr or so, it has started thinning and very recently it broke and hence thought to share my thoughts to all of you.
1) I have noticed lot of fake reviews on their website, specifically under unknown women clothing brand products, the reviews look usually similar promoting the overpriced items and discounting them to their original price and again add up exorbitant shipping costs on them.
2) Products(kids toys) few imported brands which are assumed to be of good quality, I must say they are third class and u wont even pay 200 bucks for them. My sister sent birthday present for my kid and it was a car set which jumps through a rectangle box. It costed her around 1600/- on flipkart site and we had to return it once only to get another piece whose launchers don’t work and the function of the product was questionable and in my view completely useless stuff.
3) Recently few of my orders were cancelled by flipkart all by itself and later I was told due to courier issues product can’t be shipped and hence order cancelled HOWEVER in the order page they write the reason as’Returned’.

They cancelled it all by themselves, and after cancelling my product it is again available on their website but at more than double the price. I bought it at Rs 965/-(915+50 shipping), they kept it in processing for many days and never shipped it and last night cancelled it all by themselves and now product available at same site for 2195/-+ 50 delivery(https://flipkart.com/thomas-friends-trackmaster-runaway-boulder/p/itmdk3gghb7crhsu?pid=VPADK3GFGSETWEQG); Imagine the amount of cheating.
Be careful of flipkart when u shop, they fleece customers at the MAXIMUM RIDICULOUS PRICE(MRP) .
