I bought a Lenovo vibe K5 Note from Flipkart few days back . Right from day 1, I was facing issues w.r.t its fingerprint sensor. I though it could be because of software issues or my fingers not getting detected properly.
I waited for 7 days and tried many combinations of fingers with my friends also trying to register their finger on my mobile and trying to unlock it.
Result was same: Fingerprint sensor is working only 5 out of 10 times i.e 50% of the times, its not picking the fingerprints properly.
I called flipkart and asked for a return or replacement. I was told to wait for a day so that their technician ( probably a 12th pass guy who just knew how to reset the phone) could visit and see the problem. The technician visited, did a hard reset and told me their is a problem with fingerprint sensor. He will tell his boss to process the refund as their was no replacement available for the model I bought.
Two days passed and I didnt hear anything from Flipkart. When I tweeted their support team, to my shocj, they told the issue has been resolved and rejected my request for refund/replacement.
I asked them why was this the case when their technician had found problems with the fingerprint sensor. They said they were not aware of any such problem and the technician reported the mobile was working perfectly.
I have been calling the Flipkart support team on a regular basis ( almost twice a day) but the problem has not been resolved and they arfe asking me to got to Lenovo service center.
I FEEL THEY ARE LOSING INDIAN E-COMMERCE WARS only because they have such horrible quality standards and zero care for the customers. FALSE PROMISES AND SPENDING CRORES ON ADVERTISEMENTS IS NOT GOING TO GO TOO FAR FOR FLIPKART. Really, I never had this kind of expectation from a Bangalore-based company
