I have been buying stuff regularly from Flipkart and as suggested on the Flipkart site that if the total is above Rs. 500 then I dont have to pay the delivery charges. Lately I didnt find this statement true, I tried to buy two books priced at Rs 293 each book, for which the total was more than Rs. 500. When I was about make the payment I was been charged Rs 30 on each book as the delivery charge. Which makes the price of the book equal to the market price. I called up customer care to check why this has happened but the girl at the customer care could not respond properly. On the top there was a lot of disturbance in the connection. She kept on taking the advantage of the disturbance by bluntly saying its a technical issue and I cant do anything about it.
What I could make out from her worlds was its because of WS buyers problem and she cant do anything about that too. If its because of WS Buyer then why I never paid it before when I bought 9-10 books from Flipkart from different buyers. From a customers point of view I am paying Flipkart not their so called buyers. Flipkart should not advertise that above the purchase of Rs 500 no delivery charge. Looks like its nothing but a money making strategy. I dont mind paying 30 Rs. extra but then I can buy the same book from the book stores at the same price, why should I choose Flipkart?
Thanks to the other online shopping sites, I bought the same books at a price of Rs. 261 each no delivery charge extra. I wrote a complaint to customer care, cs@flipkart.com but didnt get a reply, but I definitely assure you on one thing, I would personally never buy anything from Flipkart now. Considering the conduct of the customer care representatives, it is very much clear that Flipkart is not bothered about Customer queries.
