Update: at last I have received my refund and they have taken their defective product back but not before giving me a nightmarish experience. After all this I may think a 100 times before making a high value purchase online again.
UPDATE: RECEIVED A CALL FROM FLIPKART FOR REVERSE PICKUP , BUT PICKUP WAS NOT DONE ON THE ACTUAL SCHEDULED DATE THAT IS 4TH JAN.AS I AM OUT OF TOWN, THE PICKUP HAS BEEN SCHEDULED ON 28 JAN ( DEVYANG one of their customer executives promised). LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS.......

Now as I am facing an issue with the product.we had an chat whereby in order to not complicate things further by getting into replacements, as I am having some travel plans starting 5th jan, it was agreed that the full amount will be refunded to my credit card and the faulty galaxy note 2 will be taken back and that the product will be picked up by your logistics team on 4th Jan that is today, so that the formalities of pickup are completed before my departure, and the refund will be processed within 5-6 days as per usual policy of yours, as it will not required my presence.Now today no one picked the product.Further I am leaving tomorrow till 27th January 2013.
KINDLY PROVIDE ME A SOLUTION. IF YOU WANT TO BACKTRACK ON YOUR PROMISE OF REFUND, ITS FINE.BUT WHY DELAYING TACTICS. WHEN FEW DAYS WOULD PASS YOU WILL TELL ME ABOUT YOUR 30 DAYS REPLACEMENT, POLICY AND THEN AGAIN LEAVE ME IN A SOUP ON THAT PRETEXT THAT 30 DAYS ARE OVER..WHAT THE HELL I WOULD DO WITH THAT FAULTY PIECE.I WILL BEND IN FRONT OF AN ARROGANT COMPANY LIKE YOU, DONT WANNA GIVE REFUND OK, KINDLY REPLACE HOPING FOR AN EARLY RESOLUTION) .
BOUGHT the white combo note2 from flipkart..I was so excited that I will be getting this fantastic piece of technology in my hands.( fantastic" after reading the reviews I came to the conclusion that must be so.) NOW first got the delivery on the last day of the promised date, not an issue but still a lil of disappointment going by flipkart standards as mentioned in various reviews.
2) Opened the box , delighted so very much that wifey says lagta hai aaj khana nahi khaoge, your new acquisation will keep you occupied..Anyways put in the battery , turned on , was looking fine the gem.saw a bit of an overview on the device like swiping fingers here and there just one wiould do to make sure its fine.Then played the audio file, so low a volume, maximised the volume to hear louder, no use.the volume would stay where it was.Then put in antenna to use FM thinking it will help me make a correct judgment about the volume fxn of the note.NO DIFFERENCE. Got a bit tense, thought should try making call.SAME STORY.FURTHER IT NEEDS A MICRO SIM, NO MENTION ON FLIPKART, Then just to check got a older sim , (as didnt want to cut my regular number as I use it on a 3G dongle too while working on laptop)got it cut from retailer, same problem, volume of the voice calls almost same.
Now, called up flipkart, told about the pb., Customer care says wait for 48 hours , our technical team will call me up.NO call received though an email was infact sent to me(Dear Customer

First of all it must be a routine for flipkart to say that they tried calling, if they would have, would not I respond.ANYHOW I did what they told me to do., BUT OF NO USE..I replied to them kindly give my money back.i have bought a headache from you, now I have to run after you to get my money back.NO replies yet from their side.While the whole world is going crazy about this note 2 , everywhere great reviews for the product, i am left in a lurch by flipkart..MY new year starts on a bad "NOTE".WILL FLIPKART RETURN MY HARD EARNED MONEY.. NOW today again I called them up to know the status of my complaint, customer care first claimed ignorance , then on persisting admitted that yes I had submitted a complaint, then asked me to be on hold while he checks with some technical team., after keeping me on hold for 5 minutes, disconnected the call..THIS flipkart is not what it used to be..They have become cheaters of highest grade lately.taking such large sums of money and sending defective products..I bought from flipkart coz thought spending 40000approx, i should do it from some reliable site, going by the reviews I selected flipkart though the same was available at indiatimes at 3300 rupees less...thumbs down to flipkart..
