For me 1 of the most fond memories of kolkata at a child was going to flurys for breakfast with my parents n sibling and with that nostalgia after years of living out of the country on my return went back to the same park street outlet and was so sadden to see that the quality of food has detoriated beyord imagination.the saugages where smelling n oily .my favourite tuna sandwich was dry.the pastry was just the same n lacks a finess, the place was full of flies. the only things that comforted me was the fact that most of the old staffs where still there with the broad welcoming smile and the rumball gush back so much memories that I couldnt get myself to call the manager n tell him about how sorry I felt for our beloved flurys.
this place is surely running on sentimental value not for the quality of food for sure. I think people who dont have the connection with the city for generations /years can relate to this place as the city has way better breakfast n bakeries now.
