I am using FLV media player for last one year in my windows phone. Before using that, I tried almost every video playing apps that are available in windows store but dissatisfied with their performance, as they will not play some of the formats, in which I would be having a movie. But when I reached FLV player, I never went to other players as I plays almost everything. I never found any format that will not be played by this player.
When I was using Android, I was using VLC player for my needs. But when I bought a windows phone, VLC in windows is not that effective. So I started my search and landed in FLV player. FLV is very light weight(just 4 mb). There are frequent updates available for this player from the developers. The user interface is quite good and simple. There are lots of codecs like software decoding and hardware decoding are available. We can set automatic mode so that the player will choose the best option available.
It plays formats like FLV, MKV, VOB, MPG, MP4, TS without any trouble. They are selling the higher version for 200rs. I didn’t bought it. But the free version itself is quite good. It don’t have swipe control for volume and brightness like VLC player. This is the only drawback. Apart from that, this is a must have app for your windows phone.
