Unlike other radio stations(like 91.1), who always plays local language songs & very few hindi songs, Radio One plays Hindi songs. Truly said, its Bangalore’s only Bollywood radio station.
I like the songs played by Radio one. The problem is they repeat the songs in a day & sometimes & they don’t play full songs. But thats very less. Otherwise, they play good songs. They should also play old hindi songs, instead of repeating the songs. I like listening Ghanta Singh, Seekho mere saath english ki do baad, Chamrajpet Charles. Among the RJs, Pavithra & Pallavi are very good closely followed by RJ Prithvi. RJ Anjaan is ok but sometimes he talk s bit rude. On Air, he talks nicely but off air he’s very rude. He dont even care if you travelling or not, he needs silence when you are talking to you. I spoke to Anjaan once & he behaved very rudely to me. I was going back to my home from office when he called me. Obviously, whensomeone is in a cab, & there is traffic, you’ll get different noises like that of horns etc. But he wanted each & every window to be closed, so that he can talk to me in silence. Then there is a problem in my phone. I have to put Handsfree or put the phone in speaker, otherwise, I’ll not be able to hear properly what other person is saying. But Anjaan Did not want to listen anything. He wanted me to talk the normal way (W/O handsfree & w/o putting my phone in Loudspeaker). Anyways, somehow we talked. But otherwise, other RJs are good.
I dont know if this Radio one is genuinely doing this, but I won around 8 prizes in Radio One during the past 8 months, but never received any communication from them as when to come & collect that.
Overall, Radio One is a nice station if you are interested in Bollywood music. RJs are good.
