Infosys is not an organization anymore. Its Pure business with clients as well as with employees. I have worked for 5 years in Infosys. Below are my observations.
Heavy deduction from CTC - First you will get a standard salary. It will be less than Accenture, Amdocs, or Deloitte type MNCs. Then they keep your basic salary high just to make sure the PF percentage will be higher. Thus you will never know how much employer is deducting and adding in your own PF. PF is deducted from your CTC twice, one that you will contribute and other your employer will. But your employer is not contributing anything from their side but from your CTC only and that PF percentage will 50% or less.
Infosys business Model - Infosys is not a company but a shopping mall. They will deduct welfare funds from salary around 400 or more depending upon ur designation. This is compulsory. These charges are for drinking water, tea from the infy machine, and god knows what other things but everything is paid. Then there are parking charges 600 for cars and 300 for a bike. If you want to avail of any other facility like pool, badminton, swimming pool, etc, then 500 extra will be deducted from salary. Every breath you take inside the campus will cost you from your salary. Then there is a labor welfare fund of 100 rs. They are running a shopping mall not a company. In the end, you will get very less in-hand salary bcoz they have the best CAs hired to make your CTC. CTC will be Ayesha takia and In Hand will be Sonam Kapoor if you know what I mean.
Completely mismanaged project - Although everyone in Infosys is now agile certified hardly any projects follow agile methodology. They fool the client by adding more than required TA, Project lead, managers, senior manager, and tons of freshers just to get extra money from the client. Managers have no idea. how to handle clients, how to handle the team, and most importantly how to run the project. In my 5 years span, 3 big projects are taken away from. Infosys bcoz they did not manage it well. Now, they are doing heavy cost-cutting to improve their revenue since Vishal Sikka left. In the coming years they are going to face heavy losses in their revenue or trust nit only among clients but among employees. It is a bad company honestly. The working model is worse. They are losing good projects and bringing the worst clients every day.
Competency has zero value - No one gives a value of how good you are in your skills if you dont know how to lick your senior asses. Well, this is common today in almost every Indian IT company but it was not expected from Infosys. The Managers way of treating juniors especially freshers is much much worst. They dont know how to speak or interact with juniors which adds mote frustration among employees.
Last but not least, if you TA or TL you will die asking for a promotion, and whatever you may do, how hard as much you do sycophancy but you will never get promoted.
Overall, I would say Infosys has lost its Integrity, Value, and Faith which Narayan Murthy once build and dreamt. Now it is just a Mirage of its own Past but if you go nearby, you will work like a donkey and paid like a donkey.
