I bought Motorola G4 plus mobile for Rs.15000 in July and got my phone protected from foneessential in the month of November, for something around Rs.870, from their website.
Recently, in January, I dropped my phone on the road and cracked the screen. I called up Foneessentials number and told them about the problem. They told me that I could claim the insurance for the damage to the phone.
They asked me to find and get my phone repaired from an authorized service center, and then submit some documents like the engineers report, service invoice and some more documents, along with a photo of the broken phone to them by email.
I went to the repair center and got my phone repaired for Rs.4500, in around 2 hours. After that, I sent all the documents to foneessential, for a refund. I had to wait for 2 weeks and had to call foneessential to get the status of my refund. After 2 weeks, I received a cheque for Rs.4000 at my home(they had to deduct Rs.500 because it was one of the terms mentioned in the policy given by New India Assurance Co.).
I would say that their customer service was not too smooth but it was fine. Their services are really cheap - and they also offer an app with anti virus, etc, along with the insurance. I got my insurance, claims everything without much problem.
