I purchased foneessential service online. Was hesitant first - first went to their parent company Magpie(fe.livemore.com) and then found out that they operate in UK, US, Mexico etc. The insurance in from New India Assurance. So I took the chance. They charged me Rs 788 for a Rs. 13000 phone. Quite low I would say from Syska, onesitego etc. Buy syska & others are expensive because they offer free pickup & replacement phones but I am not sure I will ever give my phone & password to anyone:)
After paying I got the link for the Foneessential app. It is quite good & saves all information - credit card details, emergency number etc. But it took them 5 days to send the insurance certificate by email.
Recently I lost my wallet & was in a panic. Thats when it really helped me.I went to the app and it linked me to all the issuing banks with credit card number & blocked all of them. Very cool.full marks.
The malware & virus protection is quite sophisticated. I have not yet tried the insurance.
