Hey guys, this is my experience with Foooit Air Duster.
My Dell Inspiron laptop overheats and shutsdown frequently due to accumulation of a lot of dust in the laptop fan, heatsink and ventilation holes. This problem was really annoying me and I also read that overheating can also damage the hard drive.
I was looking for a quick solution to remove the dust inside my laptop. I tried to open the laptop by removing all the screws, but I was not able to open it. The cover of the laptop was stuck and I was afraid to apply too much force fearing that I would break my laptop. So, I gave up on trying to open my laptop and searched for ways to remove the dust without having to open the laptop. That’s when I read in a blog that you can use compressed air spray to remove the dust from inside the laptop, without having to open it.
Then, I searched in Google for compressed air spray and found Foooit air duster. I searched all the electronic stores in Chennai, but could not find Foooit in any of the shops in Chennai. But fortunately Foooit was available on ebay.in and I bought it.
i used Foooit Air Duster and blew compressed air through the bottom ventilation holes in my laptop, huge amounts of dust came rushing out through the ventilation holes. I was shocked to see the amount of dust that came rushing out through the ventilation holes. To be precise it was not big chunks of dust, it was like dust smoke, like the dust smoke you see when a vehicle is driven fast on a dry muddy road.
Now my laptop works great, it does not overheat and shutdown anymore. Thanks to Foooit.
