Well, I have been looking at buying a car at Rs 7-8 Lacs and for quite some time stuck between SX4, Fiesta, Verna & City. Sx4 was the first I ruled out because of poor visibility from driver seat (A-pillar, rear), poor plastics finish (why does such a premium car have low grade plastics!) and rear seat space.
Honda City - I would have probably gone for this car but what put is off mainly was that the new City which is arriving later this year. Also low ground clearance was an issue
I was not sure which one to chose between Verna Xxi and Fiesta sXI. When the Fiesta was launched last month, I had a good look at features and then decided to go for Fiesta sXI. It has been only 3-4 days since my purchase so though some would say its early for me to comment, but following are the advantages I see -
Solid build - I owned a Fiat Palio earlier and I thought Fiesta compliments Palio with solid build. This difference would mostly be felt in the highway.
Steering and control at corners
Space is ok (some people do complain about being less roomy, but I think its ok)
MP3 player quality is good and looks neatly integrated to the dashboard (unlike the poor quality of Verna MP# which looks like a after market fitment!)
Looks are good - I have a ’thunder’ color
Fit and finish of interiors is quite good
Very silent cabin - Engine is almost noiseless
Dislikes -
Overall I am happy with the car. As I have run only 200 kms, need to review again after doing a few thousand kms.
