Its been exactly a year since I got this work horse . I had a choice between the verna and the fiesta. test drove the verna and decided that it was too quick for the city traffic and too dangerous on the highways . booked the fiesta even without a test drive . boy am I happy!
Clocked 23500kms till date.not much to complain about . it gave me a mileage of about 16kmpl on the highway till the third service was done . its gotten better since. been giving 18kmpl since then . and that too at average speeds above 120kmph .its gives about 12-14kmpl inside the city and I have never driven with the ac switched off so wud not b able to comment on that . so thats pretty good for a diesel . have driven it all the way to junagadh in gujrat and back(4000 and odd kms) . all in less than a week . and it didnt trouble me one bit . just kept goin . went to kerala recently and it gobbled up the bad roads and the hilly roads with ease . the ac is really strong . atleast in bangalore weather conditions . had gone to chennai a coupla times and the ac worked well there too .so no complaints there again .
really good to drive on the highway . I constantly drive at speeds above 120kmph and havent seen any other car in this category that is so stable and easy to drive . its so planted on the highway . boosts ur confidence . truly a drivers car .its not for back seat drivers:) .
few minor issues . the ground clearance is not very good . but that is to b expected from a sedan . its the same as the verna though
there is a noise when I step on the brake on a slope. the ford engineer says its common in all the fiesta’s . and there is no big problem because of that .
there is a squeaky noise in the car for the last coupla months . have not been able to locate it . and it gets on my nerves sometimes
all in all its a damn good car if u really drive a lot . I cant begin to calculate how much I have saved on fuel bills especially after having a getz previously . which though is a very good car . was giving me a mileage of about 8kmpl in city and 12kmpl on highway
