This is Anand from Muvattupuzha, Kerala... I have a Ford Figo Titanium 1.4 TDCi...Its done 5000 kms.... This is a great product for the Indian roads from Ford after much market studies ...Its a car made on Ford Fiesta platform and gives all the pleasure of driving a Fiesta....It can be also called as a Fiesta without a boot...The handling is superb and with ABS, the car will be in your hand... I waited after booking Swift Vdi ABS for around six months and again when the dealer asked me to wait an another 3 months, I cancelled the booking and Booked Figo....I got it the very next day...The only factor which Swift Vdi ABS impressed me was its initial pick up....No diesel Hatchback has got that ....But now I feel I shouldnt have wasted 6 months without riding My Figo... Im a crazy driver....so..at high speeds, the stability and control of the vehicle is Fantastic....which I could never experience in swift....Talking about the interiors.. I have chosen a black dashboard since the other colour felt not so appealing...Since it is Fiesta platform, its so spacious....The leg space both at front and rear is another plus of this vehicle....Even if its head room is low, its enough for a six footer..It has got two Aibags in the front...The driver seat is height adjustable...Rear wiper is there which is a must for hatchbacks I guess ...Another great thing about Figo is its AC....the cooling is so intense that I off it often during my ride...which increases my fuel efficiency....Im getting around 14-15 kmpl when I ride it near 100 kmph and 18-19 kmpl when I drive at 60-70 kmph.....The boot space of the vehicle is HUGE.....it is 285 litres...its just below Scoda Fabia.... but Scoda is an over priced car in the segment...(Almost 2 lakhs more than Figo)....both the Side mirrors can be electronically controlled by the driver with a joystick...the music system of Ford Fido impresses all...it has got bluetooth n ipod connectivity...got four speakers fitted on doors...The BASS is tremendous.......The only thing which I felt its lacks is the rear power windows...but for me it doesnt matter since I run always on AC n open the windows very rarely.....The 67 bhp engine is well designed for city n highway driving.... The price of top end diesel is just Rs 5.90 lakhs (Only Ritz is another Option below that but it wont be offering Airbags)..Most of us stays away from Ford because of its stories of high maintenance costs ( My previous vehicle was Ford Ikon 1.8D)...But that is history now......Everything has changed....maintenance and spare parts cost has come a hill down....I got a bill of only just Rs.1300 (at 2500km service) after the first service which was written in a brochure given to me while booking...10000 km service also costs only the same...The frequency of Service center visits for regular service is also decreased...You need to visit only once in n year or every 10000 kms...No doubt...Its the car an Indian who is willing to buy a diesel hatchback should go for...I think its the only hatchback that can be titled VALUE FOR MONEY...Well done FORD....!
