I am sending my update on the Figo review. I had put up an update some time in June 2010 when my car was only a week old. My love with this fantastic piece of delivery from Ford has only increased since then. In terms of overall control and stability Figo scores way above SWIFT which was my earlier car. I recently took a drive down to Shirdi and Shingnapur and some stretch of the roads from Nandur to Kolhar is bad to say the least. Despite this the vehicle handled the drive fairly well. Despite doing around 8 hrs of driving, there was no fatigue or discomfort which I had experienced in my Indica earlier on a similar drive.
The mileage was also good at around 14-15 kmpl which I cannot ask for more. I have a petrol version. The handling of the vehicle was good and despite the fact that this was a 1.2L engine, there was no problem when it came to overtaking etc at low speeds. Even on hilly surface, the car pulls along pretty well at 3rd gear with the AC on.
The decent sized boot definitely comes in handy when you go on long drives. As I am approaching my 10000 km mark this week (6 months down my purchase), I can definitely say that I took a wise decision in opting for this hatch over the other competitors since clearly this is a winner. I am saying this after having driven a SWIFT for nearly 1 year and completing close to 20000 kms in that as well. The only piece of issue is the ground clearance especially in roads outside the city which are as big as hillocks. These were by far few and with careful driving over these, you can really overcome this niggle as well.
Truly Ford has delivered a master piece and am now keenly awaiting the 2011 Fiesta.
