I have the Ford Figo 2010 Titanium TDCi model. It has run 22300 kms. The Figo is a pleasure to drive. Steering is just adequate. Weight is properly balanced. Unlike the Swift, which I feel is a bit heavy, and the Beat which I feel is extremely reactive with the slightest of touches. I have frequent trips from Pune to Mumbai and city travel as well. I tend to cruise at speeds of 100-130 kmph and this is just a breeze with no extra noise I hear when I sit inside. I have consistently got an average of 18-19 kmpl in City and 21-22 kmpl on the Highway. The A/C Cabin Cooling was a delight as I was forced to bring the Fan Speed to 1, within 12 minutes at 41 degrees Centigrade outside temperature.
With 284Ltrs of Boot Capacity, it has truly the biggest boot of all the hatchbacks. I was in all doubts when my cousin brought his 135Ltr suitcase, 2 trolley bags and a hand bag with 2 passengers already in the back seat. To my surprise, it all fit in the boot with no requirement to place any luggage on the seats. Beat that, you, Tatas, Marutis, Volkswagens. Its an open challenge.
The speakers make you go gaga, as the thump of the bass on songs...can make people think that you have an external woofer installed in the car. The features, specs, accessories for the price I bought it was unimaginable with any other brand.
Leg room and space is sufficient for 3 adults at the back seat. I am 6 feet myself in height. The suspension effect on potholes after driving the Tata Indica Vista and Volkswagen Polo with Apollo Tyres makes them feel really outdated for the price as compared to my Ford Figo.
Everything has got its cons as well. The biggest being the Ground Clearance. I find it difficult to dodge big speed breakers in Pune. The second being, the sluggishness after the A/c is ON. Frequent gear changes are required. Spares are expensive, and this has been a major concern for all Ford cars. With the absence of TMP(Total Maintenance Plan), in many states(Lets say that Ford doesnt want to promote it a lot), its the only thing that can create a hole in the pocket. Reliability cannot be considered a cons or a pros, as Figo has been their most selling car till date(Pros).
The cons would be that Ford hasnt been able to be user friendly car after it completes 50000kms. But as far as Fiesta goes, or the Fusion goes with the TDCi, it has been fairly reliable with people using cars eveb at 130000kms and not even having a single repair. Otherwise, its the best buy for your buck.
