I have been using Figo 1.4 Zxi TDCI (Sea Grey, Diesel) since Oct 2010, purchased from Metro Ford, Bangalore. It has done around 35000 kms with in City limits and on highways till date. Overall experience is good and very much satisfied.
Fuel economy is in the range of 15 kmpl in city limits and 19-20 kmpl on highways with AC on. At the speed of 110-120 Kmph vehicle is steady, driver can feel the grip, precise cornering, fun to drive on highways. The diesel engine delivers enough power , power delivery is quick , acceleration is good once turbo kicks in. From Inside, it gives a feeling of comfort and safety. Plastic quality and fabric used are good and aesthetically more pleasing.The vehicle can accommodate 5 persons comfortably, air-condition is very effective, Music system is one of the best and makes driving more enjoyable.Other features like electric adjust outside mirrors, defogger, auto door lock, electric boot release are practical and very useful.
I wish this vehicle could have had sightly more ground clearance to negotiate non-standard humps of city roads. This is the only pain area, you have to be extra cautious while negotiating these uneven speed breakers with fully loaded condition.
Metro Ford Bangalore is a good dealer and so far no bad experience. Cost of consumable parts and services are at par with other manufacturers like Maruti and Hyundai. Only exorbitant cost I came across for wipers, which Metro Ford Spares guy quoted Rs. 2500/- for complete set. Which I got it from outside, Bosch make at Rs. 600 /- (Front and Rear). Which may be the case with any car dealer for car accessories.
Apart from the ground clearance issue, the vehicle is absolutely a drivers’ car and you enjoy owning it.
