This is for the very first time I writing a review, because I wanted to share few things. According to me fusion is a very good package but ford’s marketing team is making mess of it. True it is a nonsense car but campaigne has to be attractive so that it compels a customer to check it out. They have lost the plot somewhere.
I will advise every body who is planing to buy a car in 6L category to check fusion out before settling for anything less. At 5.69 ex showroom it is a steal.
Check out smart storage spaces, keyless entry, distance to empty indicator, approach lights, theatre dimming, 15’ wheels, good interiors , rugged suv looks (shrunken), above all a good 1.6l engine.
I did an extensive survey before settling in for fusion. cars I short listed were aveo, fiesta, verna and fusion.out of which aveo was my favourite and front runner also.
Verna (petrol) was out of race because I found it uninspiring to drive although they claimed a 102bhp engine but it was still very sedate.
fiesta 1.6 was expensive and design was not to my liking though it has exellant interiors I can get same features in fusion for 1L less.
Aveo lost out because it required service every 5000 km and every normal service will set you back by rs 2000 - 2500 (as per sales man). Man that is expensive car to maintain. While verna, fusion or fiesta need service at 10000 km . That means aveo is two times the cost to maintain. This is just about regular servicing.
Which left me with fusion. It had a good responsive engine, discount of Rs 5000 and two year maintenance plan which would cost 16500 otherwise for free. Fusion had all the feature which were on list of 1.6 fiesta as well. Above all bumper to bumper maintaince holiday for for two year which includes every thing apart from fuel, tyres and accidental repairs. That means even if your head light bulb get fused during this time ford will replace it free.
Regarding fuel consumption dealers promise 11 in city any 14 on highway. But I am regualarly getting 9.5-10 in city and 14 on highway
Now If you are looking for a family car which offers you good space, intelligent storage, attractive interiors and a good responsive engine please check fusion out before you setlle for anything else
or if you aspire for honda CRV but is short of moolah, fusion can bring back that smile on your face as it has done to me.
