A Plan That Works!

I was recently introduced to a book that a friend found in a clearance sale at Mothernature.com. She started to read this book and things started to ’’click’’ for her so she recommended it. I am not one for fad dieting but decided to give it a few minutes of my time. While on a walk with my family, we passed a Barnes N Noble and decided to go in for a look. I found the book and began to read it. All that Gene and Joyce had to say made sense. I bought the book.


This book is based on ’’The Zone’’ diet and is the second in it’s series. The first one, titled, ’’40-30-30: Fat Burning Nutrition, ’’ is a good book to use as reference. ’’The Formula’’ is not only an aid in losing weight, but an aid in feeling healthy. If you are underweight, overweight, a migraine or PMS sufferer, or a person with hypoglycemia, then I recommend you check out this book. It is filled with tons of information, recipes and tips. This book is not for fad dieters. As a matter of fact. it is a book to buy when you are tired of those fad diets that don’t work. The concept of this diet is to balance your daily meals. Each meal should consist of 40% Carbohydrates, 30% Protein and 30% Fat. You use the balance plan given based on your weight and activity levels. For example, if you are between 141 & 180 and you excerise between 0 & 4 hours a week, you’d follow plan B. Your breakfast would consist of 20g of Carbohydrates, 15g of Protein and 6g of Fat, as would your snack. Your lunch and dinner are higher ratios of course, but all are designed to help you feel your best and be healthy. I have been following this book for a month now and have lost both weight and inches. I have not had a migraines and my PMS symptoms have reduced drastically since starting this diet. I am not craving sugars, whereas before I was addicted to Red Vines licorice, and I am no longer wanting nachos all the time. I feel more energetic and happier as well.
