This is a vis a vis comparison of places you would like to visit if you live around koramangala, Well I am not comparing big bazaar or Star Bazaar as it is below expectation in service, quality, products and choices. Well Lets start of with the comparisons.
*Q1. Why Did I visit?
*Well I am a Delhite moved to Banagalore around a year ago, being for Delhi- NCR region my expectations of a mall are pretty high as I am neighbour of Ansal Plaza Delhi’s first mall. I decided to go around Bangalore and asked my friends to visit places, being in Koramangala Forum was an Obvious choice. Then the lead followed to Garuda, Oasis Total etc. Well the other concern was also to buy household products.
Q2. The comparisons and likes?
I would be doing a vis - a - vis comparison not keeping Delhi malls in mind.
Space and Interiors:-
The forum is quite ok in space as big as Total (total is more a superstore) but I find it bit smaller than Garuda, I would’nt say any of them is huge or you would actually be measuring in Length-breadth or floors. Oasis being more of lifestyle and Spar is the smallest of the lot, I won’t even call it a mall properly but thats the term most shopping complexes have gained in Bangalore.
Interiors of forum seems nice even exterior looks trendy, the interior seems to be taken from MGF mall of gurgaon with shops runing parallely on both sides and 2 escalators each at front and back central wing of the mall, for moving among floors.
Garuda is a bit strange in shape as at every length it has a u-shaped ending which has some other stores
Total is Vis-a - vis forum in shape and structure. Oasis is nothing to write home about.
Shopping Options
.Garuda mostly consist of Shopper’s Stop also has Staples, like forum has westside and Total has 3 floors of Total Superstore. Shopping options are plenty and as per your pocket, although garuda has some amazing shops for apparels like fabindia and MANGO, forum consist of variety from Grocery to households (more) to books (landmark), total is more of a superstore, Oasis is no bells and whistles as it only has lifestyle and spar.
Eatery Comparisons:-
If I compare eateries then Forum and Garuda are the best option as both of them have a cinema hall.
PVR at forum and INOX at Garuda, plus eating options are plenty. Total and Oasis have less options and are also not viable to your tongue and pocket.
Few of my favorite listed below as per malls:
Forum - Pizza hut, McD, foodcourt - Rajhdhani, Subway, Sea food outlets, Firangi Paani (Pub).
Garuda - Chick King, Shiv Sagar, Beijing Bites, there is a pub here too
Total - McD
Oasis - Tandoor, Firewok, Bull and Bush beer lounge
*Weekends:-
*I have always seen Garuda less crowded even on weekends may be due to traffic on Magrath road and surrounding areas and proximity to brigade road which is ten times more crowded.
Forum is damn full of people its like the whole koramangala has poured in, do not mind but its a bit awkward of ideal ppl sitting outside forum and just staring and the ingoing and outgoing crowd especially at your GF’s you can’t help but ignore those desparate peering eyes.
Total and Oasis are more of a family place due to there superstore make and Less eating options.
*Parking:-
*I do not have much idea about parking as I travel mostly in Auto’s or my Cycle. The good part about Forum is the pre-paid auto stand outside. Though Auto’s are easily available at all places. Except at Total Madiwala which is quite a fight, especially if you have stuff with you. Well I guess most of them do not allow cycle parking even it being a 2 wheeler, may be cuz its not most used form of transport.

*Overall rating Forum wins due to its variety and Garuda due to its size and Shopping options. Let me know what else do you want me to add.
