The Fountainhead is a 1943 novel by Ayn Rand
The characters of Howard Roark, an aspiring architect, represents the triumph of individualism over the slow stagnation of collectivism.
Other character like Peter Keating, Gail Wynand, Dominique Francon, Ellsworth Toohey are great too.
I personally like the character of Howard Roark as the best. The way he tries to stand his ground and stick to his ideas and moral despite been thrown out of the college is just wonderful.
Ayn has described each and every character so beautifully that the moment you start reading you won't like to keep the book down untill and unless its finished.
Give it a try. You may like it.
