You think of France and the first image most of us have is that of the Eiffel Tower... that great achivement of the modern world.
We went there for Chirstmas in 1997 specially for Disney-Paris. We travelled to Paris on the Shuttle via the channel-tunnel from London and believe me it was an experience, knowing you are travelling under millions of gallons of water just a few yards over you...awesome!
In paris....
There is loads to see, Champs-Elysees, Arche-De-Triumph and of course Eiffel tower (A lot of info on this has been givven by Surinder in the review Paris-Everything French) plus many other sites including shopping - specially for those scents!
Since I had an 8 year old with me my time was spent mainly at Disney world. I admit I was disappointed with the Disney site in Paris - it does not come anywhere near the mark compared to that in Florida.... But hey!, we went to have fun and we certainly did!
There are loads of lovely rides for both the brave and the faint hearted AND of course for the kids. The downside was that you had to queue for almost all the rides - at least 40 minutes but worth the wait. My favourite was the Black tunnel but I couldnt persuade my youngun to accompany me the second time.... I wonder why?
You need at least two days visit to the park to get round the rides and the other attractions, not that there are that many but because of the wait at everyone of them the time just flies.
Like the sister park in Flrida, Disney-Paris has the parades in the afternoon and evening. The evenng one is the one to watch because of the lights. They also have fireworks at midnight (yes midnight!) but again worth the wait if you can keep the little ones awake till then.
There is a wide choice of restaurants and fast-food outlets within the park so you wont get hungry. The downside to all this is the entry price to the park... equivilant to around 2000 rupees.
Overall a great place to visit if you are in and around Paris.
