Channel Nine Entertainment`s ’’Freaky Chakra’’, directed by V.K Prakash is a Hinglish film which stars Deepti Naval, Sachin Khedekar, Ranvir Shorey, Samir Dharmadhikari, and Sunil Raoh.Freaky Chakra is a low budget film but is really entertaining.Although, the film looks like Ek Chhotisi Love Story it is still a different and original movie.
The films starts with the narrator(Ranvir Shorey)narrating the story and introducing the characters.This is a very different and amazing idea of the script writer.
The story is about Ms.Thomas(Deepti Naval), a widow who used to be a doctor but when she could not save her husband`s(Sameer Dharmadhikari)life from heart attack, she is no more a doctor.She then starts to decorate dead bodies.Ms.Thomas always has problems in her life.She has problems with the kids of the woman who live near her room and she has a problem with the man(Sachin Khedekar)who loves her and always asks her to check him up because he is not feeling well and she has a problem with the system of water.She is always complaining about everything to the watchman but the watchman never listens to her and puts in cotton in his ears.At night, she receives HOT phone calls from a man(Again...Sachin Khedekar), to which she listens with a great interest.So, this is the life of Ms.Thomas.What a boring life!!!There must be a twist in the story!
There is a twist in the story when a young, teen_ager boy (Sunil Raoh)comes to the house of Ms.Thomas to stay as a paying guest.Later on, Ms.Thomas`s life changes when she falls in love with the boy.Her complains, her problem with the kids, all of them stop.Ms.Thomas leaves her beautiful hair open from the day when the boy tells that she would look beautiful with open hair.That is when, she realizes how beautiful she can look and that is when she realizes, she is in LOVE.So, this is the RECTANGULAR love story!
The direction and screenplay of the film are excellent.Everything in the film is oft repeated in the movie and is dragged still Hats Off to the director who managed to make the movie interesting.The get up of the film is great and teen agers would love this movie.Ousephachan`s music is good.The song ’’Dil Main Kuch Ho Raha’’sung by K.K is fantastic!The cinematography of the film is superb!
And now the performances!The film clearly belongs to Deepti Naval.In every scene of the film, Deepti Naval is excellent.Let it be the scene where she shouts at the children, or where she is complaining about her problems to the watchman or where the boy tells her she will look beautiful if she would leave her hair open.After watching Deepti Naval in this film, we can`t even imagine any other actress in the film.The role was made for Deepti Naval and Deepti Naval was made to play this role.Sachin Khedekar as the loser is amazing!His face expressions where he talks to Ms.Thomas and where Ms.Thomas shuts the door infront of his face are fantastic!Sachin Khedekar was also competent.The newcomer Sunil Raoh acts very well and his role is very sweet!Ranvir Shorey as the narrator is cool and he has narrated the film in an excellent way!
On the whole, Freaky Chakra is an excellent entertaining film.You will really enjoy it and believe me you won`t be disappointed!Check it out!
