Fresco is the new speciality ice cream shop that has come up in Anna nagar. We read the ads in paper and were very impressed. Anxious to give it a try, we had a great lunch and went there to have dessert. To say we were disappointed will be the least. The ambience was very good but its in the same place as Subway is, so good ambience is expected, but it was horridly expensive and there was not many varieties to choose from.
I guess the people who work at Subway also manage this Fresco station. We went there on saturday afternoon and there was just a lone customer in Subway munching his sandwich and reading something. The people working there were all in the back, talking. We were there for about 5 minutes before anyone noticed us.
There wasnt any menu. What is there in the ice cream station are your choices. There were about 4 choices totally. We selected apple pie and lemon cheesecake flavours and had two scoops each. There was no menu so we werent aware of the price. But it was two scoops so I wasnt worried. When I went to pay the bill, it was Rs. 194/- for the three of us!! Paid the bill without batting an eye lid and dug into our ice creams.
They were good. But not very good. Not so good that I’d pay 64/- for two teensy scoops. For 64 rupees, I’d expect smething like Death by Chocolate!! We swore we’d never go there again. I really wouldnt recommend anyone going here.
