Chemically treated

Real bad experience with FreshtoHome. First I thought its one of an incident, but again the same happened.

The moment I put the marinated in the frying pan, it starting bending outwards and a white colored liquid started oozing out of the fish. The fish became too rubbery and hard and had a fowl smell also. Out of 4 pieces, two of them were totally inedible and I had to throw them off. Is there some kind of chemical/ preservative added to it? I have taken the pics in case you would like to have a look and for some reviews posts.

Trevally fish- I had made curry out of this several times before and the first time I noticed that it look a really long time to cook. The fish hardened a lot after putting in the pan and it took me more than one hour to get this cooked and turned soft. The third experience was with Anchovy and Red snapper- the same fowl smell and rubbery finish- not edible at all.

I seriously doubt these were chemically treated for the purpose of preserving and that might be the reason for fowl smell, rubbery finish and unexplained hardening in the beginning.
