Fridays nights earlier used to waited for very eagerly by me, the prime reason being ’’Friends’’ followed by the rest of the weekend obviously. :)
All the characters in ’’Friends’’ were in a mould of their own. Their diverse personalities made the serial a real treat to watch. The various threads which emanated from each of them were weaved with each other with such dexterity that there was a perfect example of how relationships can be between friends in the real world. The crowning glory of the program was that all these situations were captured along with a more than generous helping of humour.
All the episodes were absolutely hilarious even though the events occurring were in themselves very significant in real life as well. But I guess, all good things must come to an end.
At the present moment, ’’Friends’’ episodes seem to be jaded. Though the characters are being portrayed as usual, the appeal which they used to hold half to one year ago has been lost. In fact, some of the episodes are so cliched that one can even predict the next dialogue before Joey says it. One reads and hears that they are trying to pull in some Hollywood stars to come and make a guest appearance in ’’Friends’’ but as my grandmom always said, ’’It is no use tying a bow-tie to a rat, it will always remain a rat.’’
