My favourite tv show till now. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. as it is named had aired from 1994 to 2004. I got to know about this while browsing on the internet and looking at the recommendations I have started watching it. Let me tell you it is well worth the time - a family entertainer!
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is a "sitcom" which spans over 10 seasons with 236 episodes. It foretells the lives of six adults in Manhatten as they go through their various adventures, ups and downs of life together.
The cast comprises primarily of six characters - Joey(Matt LeBlanc), Chandler(Matthew Perry), Ross(David Schwimmer), Monica( Courteney Cox), Rachel( Jennifer Aniston), Phoebe(Lisa Kudrow). The whole cast plays a great role in entertaining the viewers through the varied jokes they play on each other. The set is mostly a cafe or Monica’s apartment where they hang out together.
The plot is very well written. Every episode keeps me hooked with a variety of funny or meaningful incidents concerning the cast. You will just keep laughing every odd minute as it is so fun filled with comedies and sarcasms. The whole series is filmed in front of a live audience so there are laughter tracks in the background which are not inserted during post production.
This tv series does a great job in conveying the audience what friendship really is. The compassion, sympathy, love, honesty, responsibility, enjoyment shown among the cast truly reminds everyone of their social life and their sweet memories of friendship.
This show never gets boring. It is an all time hit. I would recommend everyone to watch it.
