Choosing a better One

This is my third review at MS , I even searched lot of topics to write my review but found that this topic was interesting , An household article and now I think it’s the basic necessity for any person./family. Normally people complaint about the washing methodology adopted by washing machine, as it doesn’t wash the clothes properly. Normally when you are choosing to buy any washing machine there are some factors to be considered.

1.Quality of the machine.

2.Cost factor means to say is it worth giving the cost.

3.Power consumption, normally people neglect this factor.

4.Stability of the motors in turn the washing machine.

When it comes to the washing machine, there are two types of machines available i.e. Semi automatic and Fully automatic (now days two types in this i.e. Front loading and Top loading). Ok let me explain you the concept of both of these.

Semi automatic:In the semi automatic category mainly there are two types in the market i.e. Electronic control and Mechanical one, these two types differ in their user usability only and not on the working part. Semi automatic mainly contains two motors, normally called as wash motor and spin motor, the sequence of washing the clothes with this can be explained in few steps as follows

  1. Put on your dirty clothes on to the wash tub for washing

  2. Put the detergent (of your choice)

  3. Put ON the tap, water rushes inside the tub.

  4. If its electronic control , then by the press of the keys , you could program ,   if its mechanical it shall something like an mechanical switches wherein you are allowed to operate for setting the wash time.

5.Now the wash motor rotates and washes the clothes and gives you a beep   sound

6.Now your clothes are washed …remove it from the wash tub and put it on the spin tub and program it accordingly…after spinning clothes are dried and you are allowed to hang it for proper drying in sunlight.

This is the sequence of washing now the advantages of this type as compared with fully automatic is listed below

1.Cost is less

2.Two different activities could be done, i.e. you could as well were the clothes and also at the same time you dry some other clothes.

3.Water usage is in your hand …means you have the control over the water supply.

4.Power consumption is less

Let me put down the disadvantages of this type.

1.No power back up feature, i.e. when power goes off you had to restart the program of washing from the square one…. (Some electronic control washing machine has this feature).

2.The person has to invest his time for the transfer of clothes from wash tub to spin tub.

3.Consumes more space …doesn’t come in compact design...

4.Only Top loading feature exists…no front loading.

5.Manual soaking is necessary/mandatory.

Fully automatic:The fully automatic contains single motor which is capable of doing both spinning as well as washing activities. The fully automatic also comes in two category front loading as well as top loading. Front loading is the one wherein you are given an opening to put clothes in on the front side; where as top loading is on the top.

Let me explain the sequence of washing in this section also.

1.Put the dirty clothes into the tub.

2.Here normally it comes with the electronic control, wherein you program the wash cycle and type of washing and start on.

3.On the tap, put some detergent on the draw, space available to put the detergent.

4.It gives an alarm sound, when washing/drying is done, now it’s ready to hang the clothes for further drying at sunlight...

The advantages of this type of machine is

1.Not much of time investment necessary, you could carry on with your other works.

2.Power back up feature is available, i.e. it starts of from where it had stopped the washing activities.

3.Some good features are available like child lock (wherein children couldn’t change the washing sequence even if the play with the buttons provided i.e. you could lock the buttons functionality), delay start (you could program the machine to start the washing program after some delay).

4 Compact space utilization, compact design, space availability.

5.Now some fuzzy logic machines have come wherein you could just put the clothes and switch it on, other programming is automatic i.e. water level adjustments, type of wash program….

6.Soaking is also done at the start of wash, no manual soaking necessary.

The disadvantages of this type are

1.Cost is high.

2.Power consumption is more.

3.Consumes more water for washing activity.

I have listed down the advantages and disadvantages of both the machines, it’s left you to decide on the type or the group to which you are going to buy, i.e. either semi or fully.

Hope this review was useful in deciding the type of machine to buy i.e. semi and fully…

Thank You
